I know I'm a graduated student in CHR. Furthermore, a Sectional leader too. I know I shouldn't be worrying the school CO now. But, my passion is still there right !? I shouldn't be a busybody I guess. I just want to play the timpani in school. I played for 4 years! I don't know why I'm posting this. I just wanna share.

Man! I missed our percussion performance last year! Our percussion assemble was totally perfect! It was the icon of the whole CHR concert! I'm so proud of it. Our teamwork were AWESOME! Everyone was excited about the performance. But soon... everyone changed when everyone was having their O levels. Everyone changed.

Anyways, if you want to perform for the year end concert, it's your choice. I can't force you to perform right? I hope everyone including Danny will congregate as one again.

It's been a long long time since I last touch Chinese drums and the timpani. But, I heard one bad news. I don't know whether it's a bad news or good news. First things first, we have to play Matsuri again. YAY? And what about the lion thingy? Fun? or are you guys bored of it? Any plans? Changes? Contact me. I will try to discuss with the ex-chairman in CO. All the best to your prelims!

9th December was a great day. We, 9 percussionists, went to Escape Theme Park and played in there for 6 hours and 30 minutes and above. At first, the starting was not fun at all. Because many things happen, we didn't take our change and people got dizzy and very pale. Ru Ying freak me off alright :D But she feel better after a drink. The best things was the Wet & Wild, it was very fun except that Timothy and Si Rui didn't have the chance to sit it as both of them was going home. Oh! Oh! Starting was the Haunted House. Chien Ho was the leader at that moment and I was force to move forward thanks to Chien Ho for pushing me. After that, Ferris Wheel, Superman, some of them went to play the fun fair, the Viking thing that goes vertically up 90 degrees, follow by Wet and Wild and lastly, Go-kart. Woohoo! We were all wet around 6;30pm after Timothy and Si Rui went back home. It was freezing cold. After that, it was alright. The reason why we all 9 percussionists were having fun because our team spirit was strong, as fierce as a lion. Or maybe BETTER! I'm looking forward for another Percussion outing. Love 9th December. Never forget those memories :D

It's been a long time since I last post something on our Percussion blog.
One notice, there will be sectional specially for us on this Thursday.
Our Drum Solo is still kicking ass. Everything is alright except for some stuffs that we need to brush up. This month attendence is still average. One of the day really is a killer day. There was only like 3 of us. Gosh.... I hope we will do better before the performance. Pray hard, Eat hard!
I'm proud of having such a group. We played so many hours of basketball even the rain is so heavy.

It's 7th April. It's a very tight day today and tomorow. Tests have been coming these few days. I think probably the school wants us to be prepared for the MYE. I'm kind of proud of PERCUSSION today. But not totally. First of all, I need to thank all percussionist especially Jolene Niew have been taking good care for me. It was a wonderful day. I was very shy. Everyone looking at us, took photo of us and supported us.
Shocking ehs:D *Sigh* Time really flies..... Miss Guo Zhong already. He's going to graduate.

My Experience of the camp:D

Day 1,
I was late for school. Therefore, I went to school around 10:37a.m. because I overslept. After I reach school, I went to the 2nd floor and spotted Meng Hong. His group was waiting for the other group to solve a puzzle. I didn't know what to do because there wasn't any teacher there. I was so blurr that day and didn't know what to do and kept asking what to do. So..... I join Meng Hong's group. Have a nice group there. There was Alvinez, Meng Hong, Jia Hui, Alan, Yao Han and me.

After the other group solved the puzzle, it's our turn to solve. We were told to use 5 straws to make a number '14'. Kept thinking and thinking. Till Alvinez the smart one make 2 straws to make a 'Ten' in chinese characters and the other three to make a number '4'. The teacher-in-charge there said that it doesn't count. Then kept thinking till Meng Hong the other smart one thought that the 5 straws on the table can make number '14' in Roman-type. Everyone at first said can't so all of us just ignored his idea and kept thinking. Finally, we gave up and the teacher-in-charge there said that the 5 straws on the table are supposed to form a number '14' in Roman-type. In the end, Meng Hong was Mr. Right that day. Then Alvinez protest that her idea was also counted as it also can form a number's in Chinese and Number type. Therefore, the teacher-in-charge also counted her right.The teacher signed a paper which I don't know the reason. Then Meng Hong told me that game was called "The Amazing Race"? He explained to me clearly and I understand every single word he said. I'm so sure that he is a good leader that day. After that, we were told to proceed to the "Rock Wall".

Everyone report the "Rock Wall" very fast and the previous team that solved the puzzle were asked to join as a team to make the word "Courage". There's two people above us and were told not to talk and only use hand sign to ask what to do. Everyone at first was so confused and kept telling Meng Hong and Pei Ting what to do. After wasting a lot of time. Everyone was very co-operative and form the word "Courage" without any sweat. Suddenly a lot of people walk past. I was so embarassed and kept asking the teacher-in-charge to take a photo of us quickly. Then after that everyone scattered every place. I was with Yao Han and Alan while the others proceed to their next puzzle to solve. We ran up and down and was unable to find Meng Hong and the others.Kept running here and there till we saw Meng Hong running through the parade square to find us. We finally become as a team again and proceed to the next puzzle. This time it was more tough then before.

The teacher-in-charge for that station gave us the first paper and we saw the picture "L-O-V-E" falling one-by-one.We were told that two words that describe the picture. Everyone was thinking untill Meng Hong said "Falling Love" and it was correct! Then the second paper..... third and finally forth. Everyone was so tired untill the last station which was the most challenging one and toughest. It's was time that I have to climbed the "Rock Wall". It's the most competitive station I ever faced.We were supposed to challenge other team and was competing in group which team will get the 1st,2nd and 3rd price by taking a paper on top of the "Rock Wall". I was told to climb and was told that I must win! Finally, everyone finished climbing and was elminated. The last two teams was my team and James's team. I was competing James. We wore a helmet and "hardness"? And was asked to say the setences for more safety and to avoid any casualties. Then we started climbing. Everyone was cheering James and me. I kept trying my best to go all the way to the top. But James was faster. He climb the top and took the paper.

Everyone was shocked that I lose because I was stronger than James which isn't true. Everyone was happy for James. I shaked hands with him and said that I let him win? It was a fair climb that day. I was happy for him. I was sad that I lost and make my team the 4th position if I'm not wrong. I promised to Alvinez and teammates that I will win but I lost. So I apologize to them and they are so good that they still cheer me up. I was so happy. After that we sat down on the floor sitting infront of Philander and explained to us what we have learnt while playing together as a team. He also told us to bring our bags down to the canteen to prepare to kayak near "Tanah Merah Country Club". Everyone ran up to the class while I just went to the canteen and sat on a bench where my group were supposed to sit together. I was alone in that minute. Most of my classmates brought their extra clothing while I didn't bring any single thing with me. Then I decided to tell Mr. David that I ain't gonna kayak. He was shocked and said that he see the situation first before kayaking. Then afterwards I went back to my place. The food and utensils was distrubuted by Alan. Jonathan was the pastor that day, he did the first time therefore it was short. But everyone supported him as a class and asked him to try better next time. Then we all started eating, the food was spicy but "delicious". I appreciate their food as it was also "tasty". After eating we were also told to clear the food in our container so that we can recycle and save the Earth. We should practice this more!

Continue to our next station which is kayaking. We stand in two straight lines and went to the bus happily. I sat behing with Emmanuel, Meng Hong, Haiqal and Hock Seng. Everyone sat in the bus in a class. Then the driver drove us to our destination. While the driver was driving as it is going to be a long time reaching there, we make a lot of noise and had a lot of fun. The boys in the middle mostly matchmakers made the most noise that day. 1hour later, we reach our destination. We sit row by row so that we are able to see the instructor explaining us how to paddle, how to sit on the boat and explain different parts of the paddle. After that, everyone took their paddle and boats near to the sea. Before kayaking to a far distance, my classmates was told to wear a suit to keep us afloat on the sea so that we won't get drown and was asked to hold hands in a straight line to practice to float back to shore if we capsized. After that, everyone started to kayak while Yao Han, Rhys, Alvinez and me followed Mr. David to buy some deserts to eat. Therefore, we started walking to find a hawker center. That was the day that I have the chance to chat with Alvinez and Mr. David. We kept talking and talking until we walk more then 2.7km. While walking, we were able to see the rest of our classmates kayaking in a diamond shape like. It's that amazing. It shows that our class is very co-operative to each other but somehow talkative? I was starting to get thirsty as we can't even spot a hawker center at all. Then I sustained for another 30minutes.

Finally! We saw a hawker center but somehow quiet. Mr David was kind to treat me Alvinez and Rhys ice-creams and biscuit. While Yao Han brought money and buy himself such a mature guy he is. After that, we sat on a bench the ice-cream was so cold and refreshing. Hence, the 5 of us ate the ice-cream as quick as a lighting most possible. For the biscuits we decided to walk and eat the biscuits at the same time as we only have 30 minutes left to walk back to the place we were before. 30 minutes of walk again..... But it's great for us as we can train our stamina while walking back. Suddenly, Alvinez was tired and sat on the ground not moving while Yao Han and Mr. David went infront of us. Rhys and I waited for her and asked her to keep walking. With the both us nagging at her, she standed up and started walking. Then while walking, some inconsiderate people ride their bicycle on the pesdestrain road we were fed of them and just ignored them. After riders past-by us, a army of soldiers jogged in a group around East Coast Park. There was 5 groups so we gave them way to jog. After that, while on a long road near a Country Club there was a few chairs to sit. Therefore, Alvinez, Rhys and me ran to the chair and sat there for Mr. David to catch up. It's so funny as we were acting like childrens. We had fun and then walk back to the place where my friend kayak. We walked back and saw everyone sitting in a group with their news cloths on. Then the 5 of us joined back and played some games. Next, we went to sit on the bus as it was time to go home. Time passed by.... We were backed at school, Philander instructed us to take our temperature in class. However, I forget to bring so I asked the security guard to take my temperature with just a shot on the high-technology thermometer. My classmates started to surround the security guard as they were lazy to take their temperature in class.

After everyone got their temperatures, we walked back to class. Everyone was in the class sitting and waiting for the teachers to arrive. I was there infront of my class standing up. Suddenly, the naughty Haiqal pulled my pants down and everyone was shocked as everyone saw my underwear.... It was so embarassing then I pulled up my pants and walk to the boy's toilet. Everyone thought I was crying but no.... Haiqal ran towards me and apologize to me. Then one-by-one everyone came and crowd around the toilet to concern me. Isn't that great? Walking back to the classroom some girls walk out of the class went to concern me too. Mr Marc Tan went up to our class and ask 7 people to help him carry the radios from the Oral room to the library. The 7 of us did our part and Mr Marc Tan thank us. Mr David asked me to come to the first floor to collect our belongings. I asked Dominic to run up and asked everyone to gather on the first floor. After that we were told to line up in two straight rows and one-by-one collect their belongings. Finally, 2E3 was dismissed after we took our belongings and we all took the bus '901' to Causeway Point. We were making a lot of noise in the bus. After we reached Causeway Point, it was time to say goodbye to friends that didn't take the same bus as me. I was tired. Emmanuel and I took the bus '965' to go home. My house is nearer. Therefore, I get off of the bus first while Emmanuel still have another two more stops. Then I immediately went home and sleep.(End of Day 1)

Day 2,
I wasn't late for school this time. That was a good thing. Went to school very early in the morning. Meng Hong was always the first person to reach school. Since there's no one to talk to, I have no choice but to talk to him as it was so boring having no friends in school. Time goes by.... The class was full with friends and noise all around. Some boys played handphone games some acting weird and some chat with friends. I brought my camera. It was quite heavy as expected as it is quite long and thick. Waited for Mr. David to reach our classroom so that I could pass him my camera so that he could take photos for me. Purpose was to post on facebook as a memorable day of 2E3. Some of my friends wants to lend my camera as some commented say that it is cool or nice camera. I didn't want to be selfish so I let them take a few photo shot. Some people anyhow take ridiculous photos that it kept appearing the same ones. Furious with some of them. Went to a room with a lot of space inside. Everyone was told to put their class camp-tee at the back of the room. After that each took a 'CPR' box and find a open space so that we can have enough space to do 'CPR' on a dummy. We followed instructions and everything went well. As the person who was showing to us explain very clearly. Everyone was tired of doing as some steps kept repeating. I was breathless after that. Let out all my oxygen to a dummy which I find it wasteful. Sorry to be that stingy and greedy. Most of them was playing with the dummy which was very funny. We were a class that didn't waste most our time on that 'CPR'. In the future, it will somehow will be important as we can save someone.Went back to class, change into our uniform and wore our tie as there was a photo session.

Gathered in the hall waited for our turn to take a class photo. After that we went to the canteen to eat lunch. This time Johnathan did better than yesterday and the lunch better than before. I ate happily and fast. After eating lunch, we were told to take a bottle and re-feeled it if there's no water in it. Gathered near the basketball court for a briefing. Sit in our groups and listen to the instructor.Then it was time to climb the high ropes! The class wore their helmet's and hardness. Then we started c-limbing. There were 5 different sections. My group started with the most easiest challenge which was easy to complete. It took my about 20 seconds to complete? Not showing off here so get the wrong idea.

Afterwards, I went to hold to ropes so that my friend can take a break or it's his/her turn to c-limb. The instructor taught me how to hold the rope and collect the rope the correct way as I did wrongly. After everyone in my group completed their challenge, we waited for the other team that was completing their challenge. My group was slacking on the bench waiting while the instructor was teaching Siwen how to belay a person. 5 minutes later, it was time to take the second challenge. It was higher and tougher than before. I went up first, climb up easily. First, I have to walk through a shacking plank of wood. Second, we have to walk through a long rope which is easier as there is some support of the sides. Third, the same thing as the first. Complete as fast as I could. Finished the challenge. I was so happy to accomplish such a thing because I'm afraid of height. It was Alvinez to climb, Pei Ting asked me to support her. Isn't she a good person? I cheered for her all the way untill I almost lost my voice. She was so scared but she complete it! Applause for her! And applause for 2E3! The 3rd station was called "Leap of Faith". Which is quite easy for me. Some of my classmates was afraid to jump but with the cheering of 2E3 some surpassed it but some failed. But those who failed were still told that he/she tried their best. My turn comes.Everyone was told to give a post after completing te station. I climb as fast as I could. But I was waiting for friends to lock the ropes 90 degrees so that the rope will be firm enough. I said "jumping". Philander replied "Jump On". I jumped and succeeded. Did 1 or 2 chin ups and the view up there was so nice and cool! The air was so refreshing that you wabt to try it again and again! Philander said that I was great as he liked fast people. Not showing off again.

After that, I left my group all alone and help the other team. While everyone was waiting for everyone to finish. I decided to go for the last challenge called "Broken Bridge" where there is nothing to support and cracks on the bridge which is the most challenging one. I waited for my turn and went up as fast as I could. I walked as quickly as I can. The bridge was shacking a lot then I went shacking too. It was a success. I complete it! I came down and Rhys or Wei Ting said:"Are you a monkey"? It's obvious that I ain't one. After that, I was thirsty and went out of the 'CDC' section and find my water bottle to quench my thirst. Drink all my water than joined a group of friends sitting on the basketball court. Played a game which I'm not sure what it is called. There must be 2 person standing up. The person who just stand up from the circle was the catcher while the other person have to run away from the catcher and find a place on the circle to sit.

After the runner sit down, the person on the runner's right-side have to stand up and he/she becomes the catcher. While the former catcher change his position to a runner. This continues on. Some got mixed up. While some got matchmaked.... We had a great time. I saw Mrs. Yeo and she wants my opinion. I explained to her that the high ropes activities was great or een marvellous. It was nice chatting with her. Her appearance was quite a bad person but when you talk to her face to face, she a good principal after all. Everyone took-off all the helmet's and hardness and put it on the basketball. I ran up to class. I almost forgot my watch. Luckily I don't which kind soul gave to Haiqal and asked him to pass to me. From here, I thank you for returning my watch. After that, we took our belongings and went back home safe and sound as the same thing as Day 1. Before going back home we make a group of people and take a nice sweet photo.Then I went back told my mother I had fun, I gave her a kiss and went back to sleep.

Day 3,
The last day of camp. *Sigh*... I missed the Day 1 and Day 2 of the camp. Went to the camp room and played a game called:"Chuckie-Chuckie"?

Anyone heard of that before? Philander the funny guy explained to us and started from Level 1. For 2E3, level 1 is easy. But level 2, some of them was blurr and those who make the mistake was told to do a cheer that was created by Philander which is creative but... girlish. Umair had a tough time doing that while Guan Hoe and Dominic did it easily. Everyone was laughing at them. Jody was a good cheerer as she also was as smooth as Philander.After that, we went to a computer lab and was told to go to asknlearn to do some surveys that asked about whether my teammates are easy-going or all kind of positive stuff. For those who finished their surveys was told to sit on the floor and see some photos that Mr. David and those who took my camera. All the photo was funny some of them was quite boring as it is not so clear. Alvinez was great! And especially the 6 guys with a perfect post! But sadly... I wasn't there. I post it on facebook. Umair and all the other guys said that I wasn't there. Therefore, it wasn't a full photo taking. I'm so touch and hopefully honoured! Not acting like a sissy.... Sorry for being too emotional.After that, went to the hall to play a game called "Dragon Tail". We were supposed to take a handkecheif and the last person on the dragon was told to put the handkerchief on the person's pants. The first person of the dragon was told to snatch the handkechief from the other team in order to win. Therefore, we have to eliminate a lot of groups on order to win. Round and rounds goes by, mostly everyone was sweating. Hence, it will be more difficult to grab the person in front of you for a long time as it will be slippery. It was a nice game but a difficult game as we need to be co-operative in order to win. Our team won a match and we cheer happily while the others was waiting to get revive by Philander. Then we were told to form a longer dragon. So there will be 2 groups joined together to form a dragon. It was more tougher as it is so long than expected. Everyone went to their position. We thinked of a way to win while the other 2 was killing themselves. We then thinked of playing defensively to coil up into a circle so that no one will snatch the handkechief from the last person. After that, the 2 other dragons surrounded us and joined forces to kill us first. Everyone was shouting my ears was so pain! Then in the end we splitted a lost that round. Finally, Wei Xiang gave a handkecheif to Philander and everyone was told to snatch his tail. Haiqal snatch and pulled it out. But he lost grip of it and the handkechief was infront of me. I took it ran off. Ran up to the stage falled on the floor. Everyone then ran towards me and try to snatch the handkechief from my hands. Then I can't hold on and let go of the handkechief and it was stole by Dominic.Luckily, my glasses didn't break.

After that, Wei Xiang asked everyone to get into our groups and form a dragon again. Dominic was told to run away from us while the dragons were told to snatch the handkechief from his pants and was known to be the winner of the game. Meng Hong was the smart one. He is good leader. We waited untill we have a chance to surround Dominic. Meng Hong quicky snatch it and our group won. Everyone cheered for us. But Haiqal... Haha. The person was angry that he lost. I went to take my camera while the others take a 2E3 camp photo. Sadly, I wasn't there again...Then I ate my lunch with a few group of boys, as they wanted to play basketball outside school. Played with them happily and went home thinking of Day 1,2 and 3. It was a nice camp I had. To me. Without friends, we won't have fun.

Today was obviously the SYF.
Doubtless, I was late.
People with minds would probably feel something.
Like nervous, excited, calm, sleepy....
To me, I think we did good there.
I mean, hello!! We got a silver.
At least we beat da band.
Also, drama was included.
It's so not surprising that someone would cry.
I thought percussion is supposed to be STRONG!
Almost every percussionist cried IN CO.
Felt relaxed in the bus back to school.
SO relaxed.
Mainly cause I had the whole 2 seats to myself.
Reached school, slacked til 1pm.
I overate my 'lunch'.
Finally I don't need to stay back so many times.
Happily went back home.
UNTIL! I got a phone call and a text message.

Guo Zhong keep playing James handphone. Just only one day, he was addicted to a game called CSI something..........

Check it out. This is James. Funny guy. Wanted to took his Bass Drum but in the end his face just come towards camera. Hyper-active is like that. Can't blame him haha.

I had fun during yesterday's CO. Enjoyed it. Make some mistakes too. But 2 percussionist didn't came because they both have competition about astronomy. We still got less than 3 days left to SYF09. I so sure that we can get 'Gold' if we co-operate and don't make any mistakes. I know is not easy. But we must try my best.

Today, about 12 plus in the afternoon. We first perform to Mrs Yeo. She came to hear our music and she love it. Mr Chua was happy,shook hands with her. Then we listen to Mrs Yeo. She kept talking talking and talking until I can't stop laughing at her. She was surprised that we played so "well"? Never mind hate to talk about this....

After that we perfrom to the upper secondary, Mr Chua wasn't happy with our performance. I feel so sad. Move our intruments back to the music then continue practice that's all. I had stress most of the time. But sometimes having fun. That's all I have to say................

Haha only can barely see Mervin's face in this picture. Just took it today. Because we have nothing to do behind the music room. We were chatting all the way. Sad to say that percussion had only few minutes or hours to practice. But weren't perfect yet. Therefore, it just a waste of time sitting behind the music room nothing. Then around 4p.m. we have a break. I hit Mervin's butt twice then he me back more than that. He also use a stick to hit my butt. Suffering in severe pain!! Haha just kidding. We can do it just 2 weeks and few more days left to practice. Next Friday no practice as it was Good Friday a holiday for us. We are going to perform to the upper-secondary soon in APC which I don't like!! I have to type already. Getting lazier and lazier. *Sign off*

Today practice was not so perfect. By the way, I gave lollipop to James,friends and my precious too. Hehhehs. We must improve! Oh by the way. IF ANYONE MAKE MISTAKE BETTER DO 10 PUSH-UP!

OMG. Today at co, the conductor totally got mad at the people and walked off from practise half an hour earlier.
He's disappointed at the co for being so relaxed and not working hard for the soon to come SYF. I agree you know.. Sometimes the co don't put in effort to perfect their skills to secure at least a silver.
Well, SYF is due in 22 days. Ahh! That's very short time you know. I hope we won't disappoint our teachers..

Woots! Got spongebob widget! Today co so damn funny. Jolen Niew go bring chewing gum.
Then we all eat. Only 9 ppl. Including Guo Zhong. Chewing gum can blow little bubbles.
But Guo Zhong try so hard but still dunno how to blow bubbles. HI-larious lor!! I laughed like crazy.
Btw, just sayin that Beyonce is not nessesarily my fave singer. She's just one of them only.

Jolene Tan!! I know you make mistakes today. But I know that you are shivering in that air-conditioned room. That's why you hit wrongly. I understand that. Today Mr. Chua is so fierce to you I know. Haha. Was hiding behind the piano as I was playing my phone. Today never play "Nu Wa" boring for James. Only hit Xiao Luo. But I'm sure tomorrow will practice "Nu Wa". So don't make mistakes again. I know you didn't sleep well too. Your standard is no mistakes okay.
